Yogeshdg
Playing with my regular pd i held [hv=d=n&v=n&s=sakqjh1073dk2ck652]133|100|[/hv] I am south and my Partner opens. Bidding goes 1♦ ( 4+)-p-1♠-2♥(by west)-2nt (good-bad)-p-3♥-p-4♣-p- what do I bid?
han
I imagine that 3D directly would have been forcing last round so 4D now would clearly be a cue for clubs. If your agreement is that 3D last round is not forcing then 4D might be more ambiguous and I would cue 4H. Since it would be the only clear cue it would not show or deny a heart control. If you don't know if 3D would have been forcing then I think that you should discuss it before you play G/B again. 4C on the last round might have been a clearer call, if forcing. Yogeshdg
Over 2nt good-bad we play following: Any bid up to 3 of openers suit is non forcing. Anything else is natural GF with cue of opps suit asking for stopper. so my 3♥ was asking for ♥ stopper whuich he denied by bidding 4♣. Han?!? 3♦ last round is non-forcing and says you prefer diamonds if partner has both minors, which is the only way this is playable if 2NT can be either just diamonds or both minors. 4NT now would be a great bid if it would mean what I want it to (as would 4♥ similarly.) If I am worried about how either of those will be taken I'll just give up and bid 5♣.
Yogeshdg
Donn i did bid 4nt :) and after 5♠ (RKC)landed in 6♣ which was -1 because he had 2 small ♥. Is expecting him to hold a singleton ♥ a good probability?
kgr
Is expecting him to hold a singleton ♥ a good probability? I expected 2 or 3 hearts. Consider that more likely then a singleton after this bidding (especially opps bidding)

whereagles
I think pard could have bid 4♥ (instead of 4♣) with a heart singleton. He should have something like, say, xxxAQJxxAJTxx and our best bid is 5♣. Besides, RHO didn't raise hearts, so odds are pretty huge that pard has ♥xx. jdonn
Donn i did bid 4nt :) and after 5♠ (RKC)landed in 6♣ which was -1 because he had 2 small ♥. You didn't understand my comment about 4NT. I only wanted to bid it if it was an ongoing move toward slam, not if it was RKC.
Apollo81
Is expecting him to hold a singleton ♥ a good probability? No because they did not raise hearts and pard did not support double (dunno if you play that)
Guest Jlall
Partner is a huge favorite to hold a heart control, I'd just bid 4N keycard and then 6C.

P_Marlowe
1D - (Pass) - 1S - (2H)2NT - (Pass) - 3H - (Pass) 4C - (Pass) - ??? 5C Assuming the stronger hands bid direct, opener is limited, so slam is out.Since 3H generated a game forcing situationpass is out, opener denied 3 spades, and aheart stopper, so 5C is what is left. With kind regardsMarlowe
