As we see 7C is -800 opposite a completely useless hand (in high card trick terms).

 

Doesn't make it right of course. I'd agree the answer is the minimum you can get away with. But these are strange opponents who can't get past 5 when you bid 5C. Pity its too late to try the hand as an EW poll.
