hrothgar
Hi All Over the weekend, I had the chance to start working on my MOSCITO notes once again. [Amazing what a 5 hour layover in the Las Vegas airport will do to a man] I was able to get what I believe to be 12 good pages written. The information includes 1. An introduction to Symmetric Relay2. Resolving shape for 2 suited hand patterns I was hoping that folks might be willing to look over the materials and see whether or not it makes sense. I'm particularly interested in getting feedback from players who are inexperienced with relay methods. However, anyone who wants is more than welcome to give things a lookover. [This is intended as part of an introductory text, targetting experienced bridge players who are interested in learning relay methods] If anyone would be interested in looking over the materials, please let me know. stansllee
"I was able to get what I believe to be 12 good pages written. The information includes: 1. An introduction to Symmetric Relay 2. Resolving shape for 2 suited hand patterns" The Ultimate Club devotes 46 pages to the 1C opening and continuations. A Comparison between 12 with 46 is quite different. However, the original version of Moscito, which we'v played since 1989, the relay auctions consist of three tables (for balanced, one-suited, two-suited hands) only. North-KQJ93AJ963Q76 South10972A748AK1084 DLR: South 1992 Australia National Open Teams, 1n round 9, Despite partner and me relaying to 7C on the above NS cards for a 16 IMP swing, we lost the match 12-18. :)
hrothgar
The Ultimate Club devotes 46 pages to the 1C opening and continuations. A Comparison between 12 with 46 is quite different. I'm not sure how many pages this section will total. I want to keep it short ans sweet, however, this things have a way of growing. At the moment, I think that I have two of the three "lengthly" sections done. By necessity, the Introduction contains a lot of verbage. Furthermore, given that the two suited hand patterns are the first relay strucutre to be introduced, they also require a lot of accompanying text. I hope that the remaining elay modules (single suited hands, balanced hands, and 3-suited hands can be dispensed with more quickly) However, I will "still" need to discuss auction termination which will require a lot of text. [From my perspective, most books on relay methods do a very poor job discussing this topic] We'll see what happens

inquiry
Anyone wanting a copy can use the PM button at the bottom of the screen to send a confidential message with your email address to Richard. The message center here is really sort of a nice feature... so no more worry about spiders finding your email addresses.... ben
