awm
You hold: [hv=d=n&v=b&s=sthj98xxdxcatxxxx]133|100|Scoring: MP[/hv] Matchpoints, both vul. Partner deals, the auction so far is: 1♣(1) - 1♦ - 2♣(2) - 2♦2♠ - 3♦ - 3♥ - 4♦4♥ - 5♦ - ??? (1) 15+ HCP, artificial and forcing. If balanced then 17+.(2) 5+♣ and 5-8 hcp. The rest of the auction is natural. What would you do over 5♦?
Cascade
I misread this auction ... twice. I think i have it now. 5♥ seems normal I have plenty of extra distribution.
Guest Jlall
I would pass and pass a X.
dake50
Double: I have shown 5-8, 5+C, 5+H. Now X shows a DT. Partner has my all.
skjaeran
I would pass and pass a X. So would I.
Apollo81
pass, pass a X Closer to doubling directly than bidding 5♥.
awm
For those curious, I held the hand given in the poll. As the majority did, I chose to pass and then pass when partner doubled. [hv=d=n&v=b&n=sajxxxxhakqxdxcjx&w=sqxht7xxdq9xxxxcx&e=skxxxhdakjxxckqxx&s=sthj98xxdxcatxxxx]399|300|Scoring: MP[/hv] I lead the spade ten against 5♦X, and partner took the ace. At this point he was not sure whether I had lead from singleton or doubleton, and chose to cash a top heart in order to get a signal. Unfortunately this was the end of the defense. The play in 5♥ is complex because of the 4-0 trump break.
Apollo81
He really should have expected 6-5 from this bidding.
