Not my style to bid 5/5 on these hands, but I have seen that approach work too.At this vulnerability only, though, 5♥ seems a happy compromise between believing my vulnerable opponents, and perhaps making a contract. Cascade Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 We need a reasonable amount from partner to go plus from bidding. 5♥ is wrong most of the time when we cannot make eleven tricks. Double will make it very hard to get to 5♥ when that is right. I think this is very close between two bad alternatives or maybe even a third - PASS.
