I was asked but I'm not sure, the pair concerned are not a regular partnership so I can't tell you what they usually play. In their usual partnerships one plays 14-16 and the other 12-14; if I had to guess I would say the 12-14 player is more likely to triumph in any system discussion.

 

Definitely 4-card majors, though, as already disclosed, and will often open the major with two 4-card suits.

This hand was from the Yeh brothers tournament.

At the table, South agreed with the majority and redoubled, but today the cards were not so kind. 4 rounds of bidding later, NS finished in 2X going for 800.
