vuroth
I have pretty much the worst hand I could have for my bidding, and no fit with partner. Also, I can't pass. 2NT seems clear to me. I'm not an authority, though. And yes, I agree with 1♠
P_Marlowe
2NT, what ever it may mean, I have it. And yes, I agree with 1S. Pass - partner may kill, you if he has a monster 2S - shows 5+, depending on your reverse style you may play oppossite a singel or doubleton 3C - shows more strength 3D - an option, but should show 3 cards, and some may play it as stronger, depends on agreement 3H - should show a real fit, and sounds stronger I wont consider the rest, because those are justfillers. With kind regardsMarlowe
HeavyDluxe
1♠ = yep. 2NT = right call

han
You should look at the "a primer on reverse bidding" that has been stickied in the B/I forum.
jocdelevat
I thought 1nt response is better when the major in 4 is so poor.
han
No, 1S is normal.
Cascade
Playing standard 2NT showing a club stopper seems very normal. With six hcp you are definitely worth an initial response and bidding your four-card major is standard and best.
