Apollo81
All red, imps QJxQ8xxQxxAxx partner in 4th seat opens 1♦, you bid 1♥, pard rebids 1NT. bonus question: if this is not an invite, what is the minimum change to your club holding you'd have to make to invite with it? han
I pass even if we play 15-17 NT's.
Guest Jlall
Easiest pass ever. Would invite with CJ obviously?!

Apollo81
In case it wasn't clear, you play 15-17 NT. So ♣A109 is .... an invite? a pass?
han
With a 109 it would be a closer call.
pclayton
I'd pass but its a little close. Maybe they'll balance ;) Give me a 10-9 somewhere or a J and I'll invite.
Edmunte1
I'll pass
skjaeran
Easy pass with all these quacks. Put in a jack somewhere, and it's close - I'd normally invite then. Another filler and it's a clear invite.
mikestar
Agree with the consensus. At best, you get to a 25-point 3NT with 14 opposite the worst 11 possible. And how will you feel if you get to a 24-point game with this. I also don't fancy 2NT opposite 12 or a bad 13. And if partner is stretching with a good 11, we will be lucky to make 1NT. Add ♣J and I invite but don't feel great about it.

Apollo81
Partner has A9x K10x A98xx QJ I invited, but it was the 2nd to last board and I was sure we were down at least 16 so I was trying to generate a swing. Despite catching a good hand for this action, game didn't make. We actually won 3 on the board, other table was in it too and was -2 instead of -1.
