LHO leads a heart that looks like top of doubleton (the 9). Over to you.
Guest Jlall
I would win the ace and lead a low club off and see what happens. If they play small I have 2 options: 1) Try to score 8 trump tricks and 2 aces. 2) lead a heart up. I would probably go for line 1 and start ruffing stuff. gwnn
They both follow low (suggesting odd number of clubs).
pclayton
I'd hook the heart. After a trump shift, I'll try to bash a few hearts through LHO before crossruffing. It seems trying to draw trump and establish clubs takes too much but I could be wrong.

Unless you think they might lead the 9 from K9, you must be better playing ace and another. First is doesn't block the suit, and secondly you only have the OP telling you that the lead isn't a singleton. At the table you don't know that. gwnn
The xruff worked. Even though RHO had only 2 diamonds, he didn't have a high enough spade to overruff dummy. I got a horrible result on this one, though, most people got 450 and some got 480. :o :( :P

Then the crossruff gives 11 tricks. I think the crossruff line seems most promising.
