JRG
Can you delete obsolete postings, such as "3.3.11 beta now available", "3.3.12 beta...", etc.? (Include this post in the list :) )
sallyally
Hi John - no one has replied to your question regarding the removal of obsolete postings from this site. I would like to be able to retain some information and delete the rest.Does anyone know if this is possible?
Laird
Hi John/ Sally I'm no expert but it seems that if you press the small 'remove message' you get an announcement asking if you are sure ... if you say yes then its gone.I think that it applies only to your posting..... I notice the personal posting has...quote, modify, remove...whereas replies have quote, modify only.I tried it earlier and one of my 'less inspired' postings disappeared completely :) There is another question and answer posting elsewhere on this subject in the forum. John ps.....no doubt you already know the answers ..I just noticed the date of the original posting
uday
I believe (and hope!) that only the admins can permanenty erase postings. Skrshawk (John) and I will periodically purge obsolete articles that don't have any more relevance. I'll discuss w/him
Yzerman
How about creating an "archive" heading. This way you can move old stuff there, retain the thread, but yet not clutter the sections.
