How to delete the comment?

Recommended Posts

I like the new feature of BBO that I can type some comments to any person. However, I found that I cant delete those comments after I have typed them. Can anyone tell me how to delete them? thanks

Nothing could be easier. Right click on the name again. The screen opens and you can edit the comment if you like. Or you can delete the comment and it disappears.

Nope. Of course I have tried so, but it doesnt work.After I deleted the comment, It would appear again when I click the person again.

Hmm. how odd. It works fine for me. If you delete the message and enter a space, a black comment field shows up when you point at the person. If you delete entirely, no comment field shows up.

Does anyone else see the the can't get rid of the information behavior Kongo describes?

I've just been playing with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't quite narrowed it down. The first time it didn't work, I selected all the text and used <Backspace> to delete it. It looked like the text had gone, but when I checked the user's profile, my comment was still appended.

I'll try and figure more out and if I do, I'll pass it on to BBO as a bug report.

From my computer I get the following:

Editing  Profile Comment

(a) using single  BackSpace strokes removes the text but when one logs back on - hey presto it is back again

(:) highlight all and use Delete away it goes - but only for that session.

© highlight all and BackSpace  -[glow=red,2,300]success[/glow]   -  it's gone for good    :)  (didn't do that for John , though   -   a tricky wee 'bug'   ::) )

Guess it's just a case of finding out what works for you -
