P_Marlowe
Hi, #1 2S.#2 Pass, I now have regrets that i did not show my support earlier. But 3S as fit jump would have been to much. With kind regardsMarlowe
Codo
I had bid 2 Spade first and 5 Diamond now. My few HCPs are hopefully well placed. Yes I know, this could be a telephone number.

whereagles
Well.. easier if you know opps are going to bid hearts all the way to 4. Without that info, I'd probably try 2♠ first and 4♦ later. With the info I'm very tempted into 3♦ + 4♠.
helene_t
3♦ then 4♠.
neilkaz
3♦ then 4♠. Same here and I expect the opps to have really good play for their 4♥
mikeh
If you intend to bid twice (and I do, altho it's close for me), it has to be right to bid diamonds first and then spades. It is not exactly a surprise that they bid hearts, nor is their bidding to 4♥ astounding. So we should try to cater to that in the auction. Bidding an immediate 2♠: 1) may let you buy the contract when LHO can't bid2) may get you to the wrong partscore: partner can't run with short spades3) forces you to 5♦ over 4♥ While some number of diamonds (I'd vote for only 2♦ here to cater to (2♥) P (P) when the opps lack the values for game) followed by spades allows us to lay in spades at a lower level when it is right and avoids the misfit when spades is wrong. This is the most efficient way to get both suits in the auction. By bidding ♦ first, (and I also like 2 ♦), you can then bid ♠ over any number of ♥ that opponents may subsequently bid. Not likely that 5♦ is going down too many, or is a phantom save, but if so, that's just bridge.
gwnn
I love MikeH's solution. It's very very rare that neither 4♠x nor 5♦x score better than 4♥ undoubled.
