awm
BAM against strong opponents. You hold: [hv=d=e&v=b&s=s97xxxxhjxxdxxxcx]133|100|Scoring: BAM[/hv] RHO opens 1♦ (natural), you pass, and LHO bids 1♥ (natural). Partner overcalls 2♣ and RHO passes (denying three-card support for hearts). You play transfers in this sequence; what would you like to do now? If it matters, partner's overcall style is fairly sound. He is very unlikely to have four spades (would have doubled 1♥). There is no specific agreement about the strength of a transfer bid in this sequence, but partner will presumably feel free to raise with 3-card support and a decent hand, especially if opponents up the ante. MickyB
You don't count a fit-jump as a psyche?
whereagles
Since this is BAM, passing 2♣ probably won't win you the board, so yeah, transfer. At imps probably pass.
P_Marlowe
Hi, the bidding is not over, I will havea chance to show spades later,I am pretty sure I can reopen with 2S the next round. With kind regardsMarlowe

awm
On the actual hand, my partner selected to transfer. We landed in 4♠ with overcaller's hand: ♠KJ8 ♥AQTx ♦x ♣AJ9xx This was cold (double dummy) and duly made at the table, winning the board. jdonn
6-suit in 'boss' spades !! Always! Well done! You did an excellent job to transfer 5 days after the question was asked, once the results of the hand finally came out showing you make game. pclayton
My first reaction was pass, but since we didn't overcall over 1♦ we can't have much so pard shouldn't hang us.
