Asking the question suggests something.2. quotes around the word "expert" -- maybe the hand was followed by a lecture about "What am I doubling on -- has to be a void!" or "How can I be doubling without the ♦A -- lead one so I know you have the King!" (11 tricks make on a diamond lead, otherwise 12 makes) Partner indeed had a void diamond suit, and I was abused by my "expert" partner after that. The reason why I am posting this is that I'm just checking if this a standard "mini-lightner" double lead that I am supposed to make with an "expert" partner, without any prior discussion. A Lightner double on the 5 level exists, but theyare raré and if one makes one with an unknowpartner, and it backfires, be ready to apologize.
