Codo Posted November 21, 2007 Report Share Posted November 21, 2007 Even if they just have a single stopper, we will never earn many heart tricks.If the opps and pd are sane, they have at most around 23 HCPS for their game.So pd seems to have a quite pure HEart hand with no outside entries and they can cut me off from pd with a simple duck. SO low Diamond is clear cut at imps.At mps this is trickier. I would think about a high diamond or a low diamond and then choose a high Heart. lilboyman Posted November 21, 2007 Report Share Posted November 21, 2007 I think that partner's weak jump overcall does not include an outside entry or much else outside Hearts. The best chance we have is for partner to hold 3 Diamonds. Under this scenario I am leading the Diamond King. This could result in an OT for opponents but a low Diamond requires partner to hold the Diamond Jack (they hold the Ace for sure) and a Heart while neutral is too passive for me even at MP.
