Increase in volume?

Has their been any increase in the volume of posts lately? It seems theres an overall upsurge because of the "Sign" thread, and not just in that thread, but other threads as well.

 

There's a lot of new users that I've never seen before too.

You are right, it has been growing before the incident as well.

We have had 105 new registrations so far in November, this is the most since January 2007 when we had 128 new registrations. The record month was Feb 2003, when we had 211 people sign up. Second place is March 2006 with 170 new registrations. November ranks as the 15th most new registrations in a month since we began in 2002, and with 10 or so more days, it should easily climb into the top ten.

 

We set a record in October for most post (7879) which is only the second time we have gone over 7000 post in a month (the other time was two months earlier in August). So far this month, we have had 5014 post (not counting this one, or any posted as I type this one).

 

So far this month, we have had 90,872 topic views (someone opening a topic), last month we had 178,860 and in September we had 138,824

 

In all of 2007, so far, rec.games.bridge has 22,967, sadly many for viagra etc. So far in 2007, BBF has had 69,472, with zero about Vigra. It is true we have a fair number in watercooler now, however, which are not about bridge.
