pclayton
You play in 2♥ after LHO overcalls 2♦: [hv=d=s&n=s3hk9842dt62cqjt9&s=saqjt2hq73da4c853]133|200|[/hv] LHO lead the ♦K and RHO follows with the 7 (standard carding). What is your general approach here?
bhall
Looks like there is a need to start ♣ early. I would plan to win the second ♦ and play a ♥ to the K. If that wins, I would ruff a ♦ and play a ♣. If the ♥K loses and a trump is returned, I will win and try to ruff out the ♠K and then lead the last ♦ toward my hand. brianshark
Assuming we're south, I'm quite curious as to how the auction went.
brianshark
I think I'd win the first diamond and then return a ♦. Let the opps do their thing.
pclayton
Assuming we're south, I'm quite curious as to how the auction went. 1♠ by me, 2♦ overcall, neg x by pard and 2♥ when it came back to me.
