MickyB
Do you consider double, or is it just a choice between 2♠ and 4♠?
Guest Jlall
Sure X is a possibility, so is 2S. 2S is my second choice, X is my third choice, they are all close to me.

andy_h
probably 2S, 2nd choice 4S. I don't think I'd double.
whereagles
4♠, though I wouldn't be surprised if this goes 2 down... (been there before)
skjaeran
4S, yes it's close. Agree with this, and what Justin said later.
MickyB
Someone I gave this hand to suggested 3♠. 1♥-P-2♥-3♠ would show this sort of hand, right? As noone has suggested it, I guess that it doesn't apply to this auction, although it seems pretty sensible - a 2♠ bid doesn't show a particularly good hand here, after all, so a lot of WJOs could just bid 2♠. Anyway, I doubled, which was the wrong thing to do on the actual hand - it lets the opponents bid to their cold 5D contract.
Halo
I wondered why two or four - vul why not three?
jdonn
I would bid just 2. I mean if partner has a stiff spade and nothing useful for offense then even 2 is probably down. I plan on bidding 3 on my own if needed, which must show something pretty close to this. 4♠ I can see as an option, but double I can't. I think 3♠ is still preemptive after 1♥ p 2♥, although pretty sound vul is certainly how I'd go. How else to find your many good saves or even makes when you have a hand that warrants that bid? It really was unlucky that your opponents could make 5♦ when you hold this hand, the possibility of guarding against that would not really enter my mind. Guest Jlall
I like intermediate jumps when vul, this is no exception, but I def don't think they're standard in this auction. I also don't think 1H p 2H 3S is intermediate.
