Edmunte1
Playing in a friendly tm match you hold as North:[hv=d=n&v=b&s=sqhq92da87543cakj]133|100|Scoring: IMP1♦-(p)-1♠-(2♣)p- (p)-dbl-(p)?[/hv] 1. Do you agree with the first pass over 2♣? 2. What's your bid now?
Guest Jlall
I would never pass 2C, I not only have 6 diamonds but I have 16 points. Trap passing with 3 clubs is too deep for me. I guess I would bid 3N now. Not really a consistent auction but I don't agree at all with my pass so it makes sense to not be consistent :)
whereagles
Well, I'd pass. Pard is like 5422 or 5413 and need not have more than 8 hcp or so. Game might not be on.
Codo
1 no, Justin said why 2. typical problem, I messed it up a round earlier and have to fix it now. I will try a 3 NT bid too.
skjaeran
1. Passing 2♣??? NEVER!!2. I should say abstain, but I'll give 3NT a try.
Halo
I like to pass with a minimum in this sort of sequence. Since I accidentally passed on a good hand, I have to bid 3NT.
vang
i agree with pass on 2C. i don't exactly understand what other posters propose. 2D? - how this expresses my hand? 2NT? 3D??. now, after balancing double, i'll bid 2NT (no way pass), if partner can't cooperate, i don't see where the tricks are coming. yes, this 2NT should show some extra values, otherwise i'll bid 2D/H/S.
