gnasher
[hv=d=s&v=n&s=s1092hkqda962ckj62]133|100|Scoring: IMPS W N E1♣ 2♣ 3♠ 4♠P P 5♣ PP 5♠ P P[/hv]NS play four-card majors, four card minors, 15-17 notrump. A 1C opening is systemic on this shape; 2C showed the majors; 3S was a game-forcing splinter; N/S's passes were forcing. Do you agree with South's actions so far, and what would you do now? han
I agree with the initial pass, we don't need much for slam. Afetr partner rejected I will double this.

ArtK78
Double. You were not going to bid slam before, and nothing has happened to affect that decision. Make sure of a plus score.
Guest Jlall
Double. You were not going to bid slam before, and nothing has happened to affect that decision. Make sure of a plus score. How has nothing happened? The opponents bid 5S which might be cold, and partner passed indicating a willingness for you to bid on (likely he has a spade void). And why is doubling going for a plus? They could easily be cold here, or we could make 6C, or both. I would definitely bid 6C. Probably both 6C and 5S are down 1 but I cannot take the risk. benlessard
6C automatic for me Partner did make a slam try by passing 5S and i did suggest some defending when i passed 4S instead of bidding 5C. So partner is probably afraid of losing 2H that why he cant bid slam. I can + i have no wasted values in S. Partner is clearly expecting a 12-14 balanced So i like my hand. + there is some chance opps will pay the insurance.
skjaeran
At IMPs this is an easy 6♣ bid to me.I don't really expect opps to make 5♠ or us to make 6♣ more than 30-40% of the time. But that's more than enough to make 6♣ a big long time winner at IMPs. And I can stand those 3-5 IMPs I lose when I'm wrong.
P_Marlowe
X, although I would have already Xed 4S,because I dont really have interest in slam, and 5C may or may not make, so ...but your action turned out to be the right one. With kind regardsMarlowe
