Mbodell
So I've been working through the great bridge master 2000 software. But I've noticed something very odd in my ability/scores to date. I get about 60% of the level 4 deals correct on my first try (I might not get all of these right at the table as I certainly puzzle "what can go wrong" more in bridge master than at the table, plus sometimes worry about over/under tricks at the table). I only get about 40% of the level 3 deals correct on my first try. With the level 3 deals I often see multiple ways that the contract could make/go down and then sometimes choose the wrong one. So if I get the deal wrong on level 3 I often see the winning line but just wrongly didn't choose play it. On level 4 my line usually looks clear and when I don't get it right the first time I often completely don't see the winning line either. Anyone else find level 4 easier than level 3 to get right? Trumpace
Quite strange. Perhaps since it is level 3, you don't think as much as you do for level 4? Or maybe you answered your question yourself: the more the possible lines of play, the less chances that you pick the right line. This probably indicates you need more experience with such hands... Good approach to learning though. The hands in BridgeMaster are really very instructive.
