the hog
Imps all Red.This auction started to smell fishy very quickly. What action do you take? You hold: 64AK4QJ943T86 (2D) P (2H) 2S(3H) ? For what its worth, both opponents are experts. rho is usually sound; lho can be wild. 2D was a weak 2, and the 2H bid was forcing. inquiry
Not going to try to figure it out. My partner bid 2♠ vul in the face of a forcing bid at the two level and at the time no known fit for the opponents. I am bidding. I am going to bid 3NT. Partner will either have a couple of ♣honor or a solid ♠ suit. With great ♠, I expect he might correct to 4♠. The big fear here is if someone is a joker, LHO might have psyched a weak two in ♦ with a bunch of clubs... but only the criminally insane do this vul, becasue their partner maybe bidding bunches of ♦ wiht a "huge fit". If WEST has ♣ and if EAST doesn't bid one more due to the double red-suit fit, and if partner doesn't pull to his great ♠ suit when short in ♣'s, then I will be toast I guess. the hog
Amusing hand, where everyone had his bid. [hv=n=skj87hq986532d7ca&w=s64hak4dqj943ct86&e=saqt953h7d2cqj952&s=s2hjtdakt865ck743]399|300|[/hv] Despite the paucity of high card points, 3N is cold - 3S, 3C, 2H and 1D by force. The auction did not end after 3N. Nth bid 4H. This was doubled for 2 off.
