We would inform the player that they were not allowed to bid like that and boot them from the table :P Our rules, we hadn’t heard of the laws. The best case to respond very light is when partner has opened with nothing. You can very often screw the opps out of a game. I don't understand this thinking of "partner may have opened light, so I can't respond light." BTW I would put "we may screw the opponents up" as #1 on hannies list, not #4. I was reprimanded for that kind of bid in my first game in the "relaxed" club of the Internet Gaming Zone. That didn't seem much relaxed to me.
