This forum is open to anyone who has been recognized as a "star" player on BBO or can otherwise show their credentials to Fred Gitelman as being an expert/world-class player. If you are already recognized as a star player please reply to this message with your name, account name on BBO, and your interest and I will set you up. Those who are not need to get this designation from Fred or permission to be added to this group - since he's the only expert we have that can verify the level of skill of another player it has to go through him ;). easy Posted February 21, 2003 Report Share Posted February 21, 2003 I'm not a world class player (wcp) and never will be but.... it seems a shame that those of us that arnt cant have the benefit of seeing what things are discussed in the world of high level bridge. Perhaps you mite consider allowing us to read the various threads that the wcp's have going without giving us the ability to respond / participate in the thread. I'm always interested in whats going on in the international world of bridge. I follow all the major world competitions, and have many friends / acquaintances that are world class players and i can tell you that just being in their prescence has helped me grow immensely as a bridge player. But I suspect we would then be tempted to jump over to some other area of the BBO and comment on what they are commenting on. So I suspect that may not be what the BBO administrators had in mind. As Grouch Marks once said, "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member." Maybe being refused to see what they talk about makes it more desirable to join. Star players may still be recognized in their forum accounts but seeing as the forum never was used it was somewhat pointless. Those who are recognized experts on BBO can still receive this designation for their forums account by contacting myself or Fred privately with their BBO username and forums username.
