kfay
[hv=d=w&v=n&s=sxxhj10xdkxxcj10xxx]133|100|Scoring: IMPW E1♦ 1♠2♠ 3♥3♠ 4NT5♦ 6♠[/hv] W showed 1 key card. Am I missing something or is it obvious to lead a club here?
Guest Jlall
Against bad players lead a club, against better players lead a heart.
Finch
What Jlall said. Declarer heard partner raise 1S to 2S.He made a 'game' try with 3H, and partner signed off.He then Blackwooded into slam. What was the point of the 3H bid, if after a minimum response his next action was to drive to slam? That usually means he was trying to avoid a heart lead. Against bad players, it's more likely that declarer first started out trying to be scientific and then changed his mind, or that he was summoning up the courage to use Blackwood.
