My p said I was an idiot, which was true at that time (bridgewise), but I still think that particular call happened to be non-idiotic. I only know him as "forum" (MSC) leader, where his prime task was to make sarcastic comments about bidding problems where every alternative were called "idiotic" by at least a couple of experts. I like his style a lot and really miss him (no offence to Maarten Scholaard, he's doing a very good job as well). In the unlikely event that I got an opportunity to play with Jaap, the least of my concerns would be him calling me an "idiot" in public. I can't know, of course.
