han Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 I also bid 4♥, but I think this is clearer in a strong club system as partner is guaranteed to have short spades. In standard partner is fairly likely to have a strong balanced hand with two small spades and passing is more appealing (not saying that I would pas then).
