kenrexford
I'm curious what the normal expectancy is for a redouble of a Stayman or Jacoby Transfer. Any thoughts here? Any changes if 3-level?

helene_t
I'm surprised the other posters play this as natural, especially Jacoby. I thought this was near-universaly played as a tool to get the contract in partner's hand. As for Stayman, some would play it as natural, though. Maybe I should stop reading Dutch magazines, they obviously have an obcesion with wicked conventions that nobody play on BBO
pclayton
HHxx ++ Doesn't say anything about a 4 card major (in a Stayman auction) or 3 pieces (in a transfer auction), although this may not be a universal sentiment. I don't know what it shows over a 3 level call. The meanings of 1N - 3x vary greatly, so I'm hesitant to label the redouble as something specific. Free
After transfers at 2 level I play the following:pass = 2 card MRDbl = 3 card M fit, trying to rightside the contract (usually A, nothing or Kxx(+))2M = 3 card M fit, trying to rightside the contract

skjaeran
XX of Stayman show a strong 4-card suit or 5.XX of Jacoby show 3+ in suit transfered to and a holding in RHO's suit that suggest it's better for partner to declare, that is xx/xxx/Ax/Axx. Pass showing a doubleton in parther's suit.
