Freak hand, probing bid needed

I had this hand and it was rather interesting on 2 parts.

Let's say you are dealt this fine assortment:

AKQxxxx

x

void

Axxxx

Pard opens a diamond, rebids 2D, and then afterwards 3NT.

What now?

I'm not sure what I have bid so far, unless the opponents have let my partner make two bids out of turn. I'll guess that the auction might have been as follows:

1(natural)-P-1(natural)-P-

2(natural)-P-3(5-5+, GF)-P-

3NT

If and when I bid 4, partner will know that I have a self-playing spade suit, playable opposite a void (a likely situation), with a five-card club suit that I wanted to show despite having a self-playing spade suit. That's a big bid. Why I would do anything other than 4 and trust partner evades me.

If he has something like J A10xx AKxxxx Kx, he better not get stupid on me.

My thoughts were these:

1. Since I have a good hand, and pard has advertised some tolerance in spades with a heart stop, I might be worth one more shot at slam via 4.

2. I want to know if by chance, pard owns the A along with good diamonds for a grand slam try.

At the table, the next bid that came was 4 from this freak hand. What is 4 here in an undiscussed auction?

Auction to date:

1 - 1

2 - 3

3NT - 4

At the point of the 4 call, 4 and 4 would be natural, it seems, and GF. 4 would also be natural but NF. Thus, 4 would seem to be a Last Train generic cue for one's one suit -- spades. A tad esoteric, perhaps, but the only conclusion I can reach. Had Opener made some type of similar call in some similar action, this would be easily read as LTTC, so I see no reason for Responder to not do the same thing.
