I am a big fan of Raikonnen and hate everything related with Alonso, but this year, the spanish press has said so much tons of things about how McLaren benefits Hamilton, one day after another, and another, that I have ended up thinking Hamilton is even worse.

I would like to know what the other countries who get info from not biased press think about it (It is said that Biased countries towards this matter are UK, Germany and Spain, what interests might have Mercedes for Hamilton are unknown to me, but I heard them as well).

All in all I just expect them to crash each other so Raikonnen gets what he deserves, and hopefully next year Williams come back to top.

Over the last 10 years columnists like Niki Lauda stated that Ron Dennis has no No. 1 driver in his team. While Ferrari ordered their No. 2 driver to let their No. 1 overtake to optimize the championship odds. Michael Schumacher championship wins would have been harder if this had been different.

Every driver has his own engineering/service team and a big part of their income depends on the drivers success.

So when Alonso complained that he's not the no. 1 driver and his team does not make a good job, I wondered why he decided to join a team with a history of not having a no. 1 driver and why his team would be willing to reduce their own income to make him less successful.

A world champion who can't win against the newcomer and who is putting the blame on his team loses a lot of respect.

He was punished for the qualifying incident, another thing not to be proud of.

In the Ferrari-McLaren spy affair he acted as a witness against his team, I don't know enough about the background to judge about that.

Lol, you'd love the spanish press version of this one: Hamilton refused to follow the team's orders to let Alonso go ahead for qualify, and then the team ordered Alonso to stop at the pit lane.

All the blam to Hamilton as you can see :)

Lol. Nice.

In the UK Alonso has come across as a bad loser, perhaps understandable given the circumstances. Hamilton's claim that people were out to get him (made when it appeared likely he'd be penalised for erratic driving behind the safety car) came across pretty badly too.

What's this thread about? I'd like to join the discussion.

I think it's about the first formular in some applied math paper, not sure which one. Probably something about either evolutionary biology or analytical mechanics (since Hamilton was mentioned).

You are right about evolutionary biology, with emphasis on evolutionary algorithms and the fitness function.

Although Hamilton likes to operate in the Hilbert space, this is more about iterating topological loops.

The German press is of course completely unbiased and says Alonso expected to be the number one driver, but the team refuses to have any number one driver...

This is more or less what Fisichella said yesterday on an interview, looks like the correct answer to me. Thanks.

In the limitted coverage about this fight that appears in the Australian press, people think Alonso is getting what he deserves. He is acting like a spoilt brat telling the world how it is everyone else's fault that he isn't winning, also that he should just automatically be made world chapion since he is clearly the best driver and that we should be kissing his feet because he is so good.

Most people who aren't Alonso fans are glad he isn't winning and hope he ends up at a really bad team :)
