From the day 1 of Earth there are 100s of wise man tried to make world a better place. But they did not had tools to get the words to all of us, I don¢t thing they died they all left us with disappointment, then collectively they send us COMPUTER. But the hardware manufacture, software manufacture and experts are not paying attentions its time to act, 1. Virous check on senders end, you write virous code you canot transmit, you remove this protection computer wont work. 2. Hard code all sensitive dangerous location on hardware blackbox, , have to call first to transmit. Made download hardware function with proper security. On my last account, Microsoft is counting expenses. But the virous check at senders end is very easy and inexpensive. It dont need and hardware modifications or replacement, neither any lengthy software developments. All we have to do contact all computer security check companies, pay them reasonable amounts, and my 15% gross. The said companies can implement them with 4 IF statement, I am sure they know, update or install security package for their respective clients.shubi, Canada, root, India.just noticed, thanks Gerard. Yesterday I reported a phising mail to Paypal Security Team. I received a mail stating correct sender - the site I entered was a true copy of Paypal site. All formalia fully correct. Paypal confirmed immediately to me it really was a phising mail - and they started immediately to work to reduce possible damage this site may cause to thousends of innocent persons. What made me suspicious was that the mail arrived to me in the wrong mailbox, not the one I use for Paypal. Second the site I entered my Ebay account guide verified it was no verified Ebay site. Hey! What did IBM do to you? We built an OS which is 100% virus proof (os/400) and one that 99.9% virus proof (IBM Linux), the latter of which will run just fine on your PC. If you want to run Microsoft Windows with Outlook, that's your choice, but it's not we didn't give you other options. Me, I say we start charging a penny per email. That'll get most of the spammers and the virus boys out in a hurry. For ordinary folks, it'll only be a dollar or two at most a month. Hopefully your provider will be able to discount that much because of the lack of spam they have to handle. All opinions are my own, not IBM's. Anyway, if you know what you are talking about then you should know that for a server OS it's not virus' that matter but possible remote exploits. Are you claiming OS/400 was never vulnerable to remote exploits? The page you link to doesn't say the word "IBM Linux" anywhere. My understanding is that IBM never distributes Linux, instead they refer their customers to buy a license from the RedHat or Novell. I would actually be curious if that is wrong.
