jdeegan
 I have been using GIB on BBO as a practice tool - I play one hand and let GIB play the other three hands. What I would like to know are the best settings for 'Play Speed' and 'Advice Speed'. When both are set on max slow, it, presumably, plays better, but sometimes it takes over a minute to play a single card. Set on max fast, its play and bidding become erratic. Any thoughts about the proper setting? By the way, what do each of those settings control?
macaw
The slower the speed for thinking and play, the stronger the GIB play. I like to set it fast because I have a short attention span
Free
Basically the settings determine how much time GIB can spend on every move it makes. This has an impact on both performance and speed. The more time it gets, the better it will play. Best is to find some kind of tradeoff, where it plays more than ok and it's still pretty fast most of the time.
helene_t
I set it to fastest speed but it plays really bad, then.
P_Marlowe
Hi, because I play against the GIBs for training purposes, the answer is slow play speed, I never used the advicefunctionality, maybe I should set it to fast. What is best? First answer yourself the question, whatdo you want to achieve playing against the GIBs?Traning or Killing some time. With kind regardsMarlowe
