gwnn
732 in DUMMY AJT9854 in your HAND You need to play this suit for 6 tricks, or 1 loser. What's the best way to proceed? (unlimited entries)
han
Ruff 4 times in hand and 3 times in dummy and lead a side card from dummy to ruff with your AJ10 as last 3 cards. Guarantees 9 tricks in the suit. If you meant 6 tricks instead of 9 then you finesse, you will make 6 tricks unless LHO has KQx and then you couldn't make 6 anyway. gwnn
Yes, 6 tricks. And your solution isn't correct :)
han
Not correct uh? Well, you can also just play low to the 7, same thing, as long as you don't cash the ace because then you won't make 6 tricks when RHO has KQx either. jdonn
Well you might as well start by leading the jack from hand, if LHO has KQx he has a very tough guess since his partner might have singleton ace and people don't expect you to play this suit that way. matmat
same principle, wouldn't the T cause LHO to ponder if their P didn't have the stiff J?
