this really depends on how sound your one level openings are...

Personally, I think it looks to be on the cusp of a 3 card limit raise and a game force.

I can't bear a GF force with this weak a Diamond suit, so make me down for the limit raise

I bid 2. Surely a void with 3 card support is somewhat equivalent to a singleton with 4 card support. Anyway I choose this because it's the only way to obtain meaningful input from partner on a hand where it's the degree of fit that matters, rather than the overall strength. (Well, 2 is another way but I think forcing to game at this stage is just too much.)

And sorry to the people who chose it, but 2 is so wussy! Then if partner makes a game try you accept? So you are bidding this hand the same as if three of the small diamonds were in spades. You can construct perfect layouts where partner might pass 2 and you have a slam, like Qxx KQxxx Axxx x. If after 2 my partner bid 4 I'd be very very worried I was missing a grand to play in game.

Edit: Like Justin below I didn't see that 2 is 8-10. That makes things closer to me but I'll stick with my answer.

I make a 3 card limit raise if that means 1nt first and then 3h, ok.

This hand is worth more than 8-10 support pts.

Take away the K of d and J of clubs and 2h is fine.

If 3h is too high then partner needs to stop opening on junk.

If you are worried about spade duplication then bid 2s....not 2h

I really think people overbid way too much with these types of hands. In my experience bidding 2H has been a big winner. Also with the bad 9 counts+ stiff ie J xxx KQxxx Kxxx I always just bid 2.

edit: just noticed 2H is 8-10 in your system, I would bid it in a more standard 6-9 range, with 8-10 this is really easy to me.

Please apologize to all the 2 bidders, we have been deeply offended by being called wussy, especially those of us who actually are wussies.

I'm another 2 bidder.

I really really hate showing 4-card support when I don't have it.

My alternative is limit raise via 1NT, but I'd rather have bid hearts if LHO is going to bid spades.

Oh believe me you all still are :P And I must agree with W.E., the example Justin gave is a far cry from the hand in the post.

I bid a stupid 4 wich silenced the spades, it also silenced my partner who had a freak.

2 gets you to slam in a flash, while my feedback from the 2 bidders is that few got there when the auction got competitive.

I do not like 4 but I cannot imagine passing with your pds hand after this bid.

You need something like x,Axxxx, xxx, xxx to make slam 100 %.

I doubt that the 2 bidders will reach slam, so they will loose this hand even if this may be the much better approach in the long run.
