neilkaz
In spite of unfavorable and inspite of 4♠ being rather easy to whack, mark me down for a 4♠ bid here with this weakish freak. For all we know, we may be off a couple in 4♠x when the opps are close to cold for a grand in a round suit. On a good day, we make it doubled as PD may fit us a bit. 4♠ may also result in the opps making the wrong decision between the 5 and 6 levels, since they have so little room. .. neilkaz .. skjaeran
I can't imagine bidding less than 4♠ with this hand.At this vulnerability I can't imagine bidding more than 4♠ either. B)
mikeh
Tempted to bid 5♠, however, the vulnerability leads me to bid 4I have never understood the urge to ever bid 5♠ on auctions where the opps have yet to establish a fit or a game-force. For all we know, partner is sitting across the table with a good but unbiddable hand, loaded with defence.

jtfanclub
I have never understood the urge to ever bid 5♠ on auctions where the opps have yet to establish a fit or a game-force. I don't even understand the urge to bid 4♠. I can always bid it later. I am not eager to go for 500 when I'm not even certain they were getting 420.
