(be honest).
Blofeld
I think it has to start(3♠) Pass (Pass) 3NT(Pass) Pass (DBL) Pass(Pass) ? Now as East I would run. If Redouble was for rescue I'd bid that (as it has to be a two-suiter), but I wouldn't normally have that agreement, so I guess I'd pick a minor. As far as I can see I'll just be playing in whichever minor it is, so I'm not sure which I'd go for.
mcphee
I would pass out 3NT. re-dble (IMO) should be doubt and not a rescue request. Maybe one of my 5 card minors will work out, some days partner have AKXX and the suit even splits 2-2, other times they have the moose shown here and we go for a number, which is what is going to happen regardless of what action we take now. There are also other days the3N bidder has a running suit although this does not appear to be the case, but it is possible they have 7 card H suit. Isn't partner able to rescue himself? When I passed I promissed nothing, this did not change because partner bid 3N and they found the axe. Some days bad things happen and I sure hope they have the same problem at the other table. the hog
3NT and then passed out. I see no reason why pulling the 3NT bid should be any improvement.
kenrexford
Same start, but I'm redoubling and bidding 4♦. We will see what happens. 5-5 yarbs seem to play better in one of the suits when partner made a pinch 3NT call.
