mike777
War, what War? :DDarfur? Genocide? This whole 24 hour news on the Craig story sort of surprises me. Basically a married person, Craig, is accused of making a pass at what he thought was another willing and consenting adult. Be a bit of a hypocrite or lie about it....Huge News! All those who never told a lie or were hypocritical on any issue in their life, please step to this side of the aisle :) This is the major story the last few days in the USA. :) I guess, rape, rob or murder or steal...not a story.Make a pass at another adult of the same sex.......Stop the presses, resign, Headlines. :) I guess a Senator or President can do anything but try and sleep with a boy, adult boy. :)
luke warm
I guess a Senator or President can do anything but try and sleep with a boy, adult boy. :D as edwin edwards once said (robbed no doubt from someone else) "the only way i can lose this election (against david duke) is if the catch me in bed with a live boy or a dead girl"
hrothgar
The Craig story is news for two reasons 1.Its a sex scandal, and sex scandals sell2.This is yet another classic example of the complete hypocrisy of the “family values” oriented Republican party. The Republican party has been exploiting homosexuality as a wedge issue for years. Individuals like Craig, Ted Haggard, and Jim West have made careers battling against threat that homosexuals pose to traditional family values. This open bigotry is a defining characteristic of the modern Republican party. So pardon me if I find it HIGHLY amusing that so many of the Christian culture warriors appear to be over compensating in a vain attempt to repress their own sexuality It don't know what gives me more satisfaction: Finding out that a US Senator was trolling for blow jobs in an airport bathroom or watching the Republic noise machine turn on one of their own. mike777
Heard this one last night. :D I think their votes againt gay marriage is misunderstood. They are against marriage not sex, these guys want to be able to stay single and free. :)
helene_t
I've been puking on the newspapers almost every day since September 11. "War on terror", "Moslem fundamentalism" blah blah blah. Finally a good old fashioned sex scandal for a change. Of course some real news would be even better but that is obviously too much to ask for. pbleighton
I agree with Richard, but I have a couple of observations: I'm surprised how quickly and ferociously the Republican Party turned on him. It looks like he will be forced to resign from the Senate. For this? But then, I'm a liberal :D I wonder if the reaction would have been as strong if he had come out and said:"I'm gay" and apologized to everyone? For his anti-gay positions? For cheating on his wife?
pbleighton
Apologized for being gay? For hiding it? For his anti-gay positions? For cheating on his wife? Oh, probably all of the above. When politicians go into redemption mode, they don't stop short :) Peter

Al_U_Card
Circus maximus, friends, on the bullet train to decadence. Now, if this guy had supported gay rights and the whole liberal ethos.....(okay, he wouldn't have been a republican senator....) can a convicted criminal be a senator? Winstonm
It looks like to get a presidential pardon one must suck up to Bush and not simply suck. :D
