jim420
playing with a pickup p (me actually), u hold a 1 hcp hand ;) (looks like a game forcing hand doesn't it) and had the following auction [hv=d=e&v=b&s=sj63h642d97532c72]133|100|Scoring: IMPW N E S- - P 1♣P 1♠ P 2♥P 4NT P 5♦X 6NT P PX XX P PP 6NTxxNlead ?[/hv] What do u lead? Am I creating any confusion here?
gwnn
just lead a high-ish diamond, probably the 7.
jikl
Partner has told you to lead ♦s, lead it or forever deal with it in the future. Partner has made a decision, you can't see their hand, so do it. (As an aside I wouldn't be surprised if you need to lead a ♠ to beat it) Sean
P_Marlowe
Hi, a Diamond. Ok, it maybe that the double of 5D was based on shortage, a void, an the double of 6NT cancels this message, requesting another lead.Personnaly I think the 2nd double is based on AK in a suit, assuming my partner is sane (?!), and the XX is just garbage, but it may well be the other way round. If I hit shortage, I wont kill any tricks our side has, which maybe good as well. With kind regardsMarlowe
Quantumcat
Wouldn't double then passing the NT slam be for shortage, and doubling again be for AK?

After this board I dunno whether the 2nd double would create confusion for partner, and wondered what's in standard methods the 2nd X would mean to most people. In the end, partner did lead ♦2, and ♦QJx was not together in declarer's hand ;) As to why the bidding went like that, I can never know... NB: Only a ♦ lead (any ♦ of course) can set the contract. If E lead anything else, u give them 6N, as actually happened in one table where the auction went p-1♣-p-6NT-p-p-p, and the only other honour between the two hands was an onside ♣Q
