Walddk
[hv=d=s&v=b&n=sj765h3dk932ca742&w=sq1043h2dq10874ckj5&e=s98hj987654d65c108&s=sak2hakq10dajcq963]399|300|Scoring: IMPS: 6NTLead: D7[/hv]North-South landed in a somewhat ambitious 6NT after South showed a strong balanced hand with four hearts. West had a tough lead where any lead is helpful for declarer (free finese in four suits). Endplayed at trick 1, how unlucky. West chose ♦D7 which gives you a cheap trick. Can you take advantage? Do you want to declare or do you prefer to be seated in one of the opponents' chairs? Have fun :o Roland
Guest Jlall
I'll declare, win DK, intra finesse clubs, win return, squeeze LHO in spades and diamonds. The 4 of clubs will be the key reentry to dummy (don't forget to unblock the 6!). edit for clarification since its 3:30 AM: I will obv hook the heart when I'm in dummy with the club ace
pclayton
Justin's line works. The club spots are just good enough to be able to win the 2nd or 3rd club in dummy, hook the heart, cash the hearts and finish the clubs in dummy to squeeze West. If you swap a few club spots - this line will not work. What doesn't work is to take the ♦ lead in hand and try ♠, ♠, ♠. While this gets you to 11 tricks (3♠, 4♥, 3♦, 1♣), and ♦/♣ squeeze appears to work, West can ruin the timing by playing a heart.
Edmunte1
Yes, Justin line works and is the only working line. Well done
