There is too much chance that either the opps can get together (I am more worried about them finding hearts than diamonds) or that partner will get overly excited with a 10-11 count or a miserable 12 that she could not (would not) open. She may well 'know' enough to assume that you won't open terrible hands 1♣ in 4th chair. So I'd be scared of the other 3 players, and my superior card play may be of no help when I lay down dummy in some number of notrump.
