Trpltrbl
Is there anyway we can delete subs from sublist ? I have subs in sublist that when asked to sub they deny and I am stuck replacing players. And also have subs that are on sublist when playing in another tourney, maybe have them automatically removed when they join new tourney ? Mike :)
Giasone
task of that they come removed automatically however is worked well also invites it to the substitution. I when I have little subs write the name of the frozen and clik substitute now it leave I invite that very rarely he comes refused. in this I have found a valid alternative to discussing with persons whom they do not want to make the tourney why even they thought than to be in other tourney why who chip ax mine I invite it is sure that mine plays tourney. :P Giasone :)
spwdo
hi, have found myself in the same kind of situation when hosting, it seems to work out best for me to write down the names when things have to go fast, send invites when u have time(less red dots) , some signup as sub but it looks they only want to play with an expert or so, would very much like to see that players finally are going to use their own possiblilty to find a sub if their partner is offline, it works great( u cant sub while your partner is still online) but nobody reads it (sofar).doesnt answer your question mike , hope it at least helps you in someway, think we need to have software change for that, maybe when a player refused twice he is taken of that list automatically and remove those who are playing in your tourney or other tourneys would help you figur out howmany avaible subs one actually has greetings marc
uday
When you invite a sub, that sub will not be invited again until he accepts or rejects the invitation. If you invite again, another sub is used, and so on. This can cause some minor probs when a sub refuses to respond. I think this is not serious, but if it is I will indeed remove the sub if he does not respond after xx minutes or if he rejects too often. For now i'd prefer to avoid the work :(
spwdo
hi, not a big problem, i work around with that be using my own adds to ask for subs in lobby, u have to as long u have only one sub avaible who is refusing to enter, no big deal and it will be be changed in good time i`m sure uday :( :P greetings marc
Gweny
;) Yes this non responding sub thing is annoying... My solution is to type names in and sub this people to remove them from list when they refuse 2-3 times for all manner of nice partners it is necessary to clear deadwood tee hee on topic of players subbing... Tonight I play in BBO Flight and I notice no kibitzers is allow so I ask why. Very astute Bambi notice players is maybe able to sub in kibitzers to play. This create large potential problem. So will program allow players to sub people who is kibitzing tournament into table? At present it will allow td to do this. l
bambi1
Tonight I play in BBO Flight and I notice no kibitzers is allow so I ask why. Very astute Bambi notice players is maybe able to sub in kibitzers to play. This create large potential problem. "very astute Bambi" I like that Gweny! I ran NO KIBITZERS as I was not sure if they could sub. Now that players can get their own subs, I wasnt too crazy about the idea of them choosing a kibitzer! I did hear from uday, and kibitzers are allowed to sub if they are invited by a player or by the TD. I think uday will look into this further if it poses a big problem. Dwingo
Yes this non responding sub thing is annoying... 1. Whenever I add myself to the sublist, I do not kibitz the tournament. I normally minimise the BBO screen and do some e-mail or something, waiting for the sub call. A sub not responding may not be deliberate. The person may not be aware of his call. A SUGGESTION FOR SOFTWARE : When you get the pop-up message on the screen, let the BBO application ( if it is minimised ) open up ( Maximize automatically ) so that the intended sub cannot miss it. If this is accompanied with a loud bang, all the better. 2. I must confess that when I add myself to the sublist, I quickly enter a table in play, just to see how many rounds / deals have been completed so that I know what will be my time committment needed when I accept subbing. I make sure I only see the Top left corner where the Round clock is displayed and I don't even have a glimpse of the cards. A SUGGESTION FOR SOFTWARE : When you register as sub you get a message "You are now registered as sub. " Along with this message if there is a note " Tournament say Fun Fishy or so - 12 Rounds / 24 Deals Timed in Progress. Currently on Round 4 / Deal 7 ." If I know , I cannnot be online for that long a time, I can quickly unregister as sub, without peeping into the tables that are playing 3.As a side note : If you are playing as a sub, are you obliged to finish the tournament?, or are we allowed to leave after playing a few deals ( after informing the director ). Because the software records only the last played sub ( for the results purposes) , I don't want Directors to keep track of subs dropping out ( intentional disconnects being monitored here ) as Directors will not be able to identify, whether a particular player is an originally registered player or a Sub who has joined inbetween. A SUGGESTION FOR SOFTWARE: Can the sub be differentiated with a different colour ? so that the players at the table, Director, can all identify the subs. Also the results , highlighting the results of subs in a different colour will be great. In most cases, I am substituting for a player who is not doing well and end up at the bottom of the pack. My friends have a good laugh.
