benlessard Posted August 17, 2007 Report Share Posted August 17, 2007 RHO probably didnt bypass a major and probably doesnt have 5♣. So hes likely to have 3♦. West is likely to be be short in Diamonds and my preempt might push them into a bad slam (♦AK♦ facing a stiff or d void). Also we have a lead problems defending 3nt with an unclear lead is annoying since you can blow some MP just by the lead. I think the risk of down 4 or worse or that 3nt goes down is too bad.
