Patapon
Watching a vugraph from Brazil. The vugraph operator has updated the profiles of the players and the four players have a flag from Brazil.(on BBO).Ex: Mello’s profile says he is Roberto Mello with a flag from Brazil On BBOTV when I click on Mello’s name the profile says he is "private" from France.Adriano Rodrigues from Brazil ( on vugraph) is Adriano Voscilla from Croatia on BBOTV...And Chagas is from Taiwan :D BBOTV recognizes profiles of BBO members and not the profiles updated by the operator onsite I think. Patapon
Still watching vugraph on BBOTV It is not possible to get the profile of a member by just clicking on jis name in the chat area.I have to copy the name in the 'find' window to get it. This is not very useful when you wish to know who are the commentators on vugraph.

Patapon
Still watching a vugraph.. In the open room players started to play board 17 and 18 then skiped to board 1,2,3….They are now playing board 16. In the hand browser there is no blank space available for writing the result. The score sheet is full and the board 17 is listed just after the board 15 with no space. This makes things difficult to compare score sheet from both rooms when they are not playing boards simultaneously. Another thing I dislike is that the last hand isn't automatically displayed in the hand browser. And the font size is definitely still too small( and I have good eyes!) bid_em_up
If there is an option to "Follow this player in tournament", I cannot seem to locate it.
MrOutlaw
I liked BBOTV, I think it would be great for viewgraph. I think I prefer playing in the windows version. BTW, I had no trouble getting into it.
bid_em_up
Possibly already mentioned. You cannot currently right click and join a player at a table from the chat window. One nice additional feature that I am just now noticing. If I Left-click, then right-click on a persons name in the chat area, I am given the options to Increase or Decrease font size. By doing so, the chat is much easier for me to read.
barmar
You cannot currently right click and join a player at a table from the chat window. Left-click them to view their profile. One of the buttons there is "Join".

One of the buttons there is "Join". You miss the point. Sorry. I realize you can view their profile, then join. That is not the same as right-clicking in the chat window and selecting join that person as is currently available. It requires moving the mouse to a different area of the screen. This may seem trivial to you, (and indeed it probably is), but personally, I dislike having to move the mouse when I don't have to. This becomes even more significant when you decrease the size of the Profile area, to increase the Friends/Kibbers area, which makes the find/join buttons completely disappear. Now you must left click, get their profile, change the size of the profile window (or scroll the window), click join, then resize the profile area. I'd rather just be able to right click and select join. The option to right-click and join is available from your friends list, stars list, etc. so the option can function this way, I inferred that it is/was simply an oversight that it did not function this way in the chat area, or it simply has not been implemented yet. bid_em_up
You can type (chat) to people playing in a tournament or a team match. However, the person you are sending the message to apparently doesn't actually see/receive it. It should come back saying "Chat not allowed", instead it just appears as if you actually sent the chat message, but you never get a response from the person you are talking to. gemini42
Connecting to Bridge Base Online. Please wait... I'm still waiting. I installed Flash player 9,0,47,0 when it was released, with very restrictive settings. What are the minimum Flash player settings for BBOTV? rona_
I apologise if this has been mentioned already but have been away for more than two weeks and I don't feel like going through 16 pages of comments. When I am logged in with bbotv and search for a profile, I can see where that person is even if he is logged in invisibly. I found a friend who was watching vugraph invisibly, and others that were kibbitzing and playing. Rona
chicken
I could be wrong about this - ignore if so. If your security settings for some reason prohibit you from accessing BBO (despite that you have Flash 9 installed) then you get as far as the log on screen, then immediately on attempting to log in it comes up with a "connection lost" message, then it reverts to the log on screen, but if you then repeat the attempt you get a permanent message "attempting to connect". In either case it would be preferable to have a message "connection denied". experienced the same thing today. is that problem already solved? uday
The only thing that changed yest was that we moved the web pages from one machine to another. www.bbotv.com used to reside on 70.84.141.4Now it resides on 74.54.55.178 We changed DNS yesterday so that www.bbotv would point to 74.54.55.178 What security settings do you need to tweak ? 1. Can you try clearing your browser cache and trying again? 2. in a DOS window, can you try runningipconfig /flushdnsand trying again ? zielona
Fred and Uday This is a feedback to your new VuGraphBBOTV. I tried to simultaneously watch action on 4 tables of the first Bermuda Bowl session, all on one monitor. I had problems sizing the windows the way that I would be able to see the most all at the same time. What would help is to left align the actual table area so it is positioned immediately above the chat. Is it possible? rgrds zielona

The problem you are experiencing (assuming I understand correctly) is not a function of the position of the table area in its window - it is a function of the size of the window itself. If you resize that window to make it "thinner" then I suspect you will be able to create enough space on your screen to see all 4 tables at once. I am assuming you either have a big high resolution monitor or extraordinary eyesight - otherwise there is not much point in even trying this as all 4 windows will be too small for most people's eyes. As you probably noticed, the table area automatically resizes itself according to the size of the container that it occupies. The table makes itself as big as it possibly can given its parent container, but it always maintains the same aspect ratio (the ratio of horizontal size to vertical size). 1eyedjack
stupid question, but do chat logs and lin files of hands played/kibbitzed get saved locally when in the flash version? If not currently, will this be a feature in future?
uday
can't log much (anything?) locally. We'll have to find a "server side" solution.
Dwingo
BBOTV Vugraph - Nice to have the No. of kibitzers listed at each table along with other Vugraph details.
barmar
I tried the BBOTV Vugraph last night. You should be able to click on a commentator's screen name and see their real name. And if the operator has entered full names for the players, this should be available as well. It would be nice if there were a place in the list of VG rooms that stated what language was being spoken there.
mrdct
My comments: I prefer to have the auction in the middle of the table rather than in the corner. My eyes naturally look to the area in front of the player for their bid to appear. When you look explantions of bids, !C, !D, etc isn't being converted to ♣, ♦, etc. I found the "movie" (I forgot what it's called now) a bit difficult to use and would really like to be able to bring up a score sheet and quickly look at what the other table did in much the same way as the current windows client. Perhaps it just takes some geting used to. Question: With the auto-resizing, could we far away from getting BBOTV to work on a large screen internet and java enabled mobile phone/PDA?
barmar
I also don't like the history viewer. BBOTV uses Flash, not Java. I don't think most Internet-enabled cellphones support this. Has anyone tried it on an iPhone yet?
