I'm willing to stop in 4S after 4D-4H-4S. 2) I'm tempted to bid 1H to see if the opponents bid spades (in which case I'll try to play 4H, or maybe pass), or if they don't (in which case I'll try 3N, or pass). I decided that 4H was safe but no, that got passed out. My partner had ♠8♥AK10♦J975♣AQJ75, a bit light to my taste. As you can see you should stop in 4S. We didn't let this board take us down though. We both apologized and I don't think it affected the rest of our game. 2. I guessed 4♥ and saw my partner table: ♠KQ754♥A10973♦106♣J. WDP! Righty bid 1C on an 8-count. It might be technically the "right" call, but 4♥ usually works. 4♥ cannot be misunderstood, notwithstanding the reality that it was misunderstood.
