TylerE
I think I'm pulling the red card on this one.

neilkaz
I'll double also and expect to be favs to set it. If PD is unbalanced with extra ♥ and extra offensive tricks and pulls to 5♥ I'd expect good chances to make.
jdonn
Double is NUTS! I want to be nicer about it  but I can't. Our opponent is probably not insane at unfavorable vulnerability. And we have 4 card support for partner that hasn't even been shown, which makes oure defense even worse. And even if we had any reason to think this is going down, which we don't, how can partner ever make an intelligent decision should he decide to pull if we are doubling on minimums? We have a sure trick, and AK which may or may not cash, and nothing more at all except negative defense for partner's hand, where are these doubles coming from? pbleighton
I want to be nicer about it I doubt it  where are these doubles coming from? The vulnerabilty, plus partner rates to have something from the bidding. If I'm wrong, next hand. Peter
mr1303
What does pass show? If not this hand, then pass doesn't exist. I pass (in case it wasn't clear)

I see your point and see where double is just wishful thinking and bidding the same values twice. EDIT..as most of you have observed, I often have strong opinions here about bidding. It is good to be shown when my initial comments and assumptions were wrong and I'm next to certain I was wrong.
SoTired
Pass The opps bid 4S Vul. We don't know partner's strength or distribution. RHO took a risk to bid 4S. Why save him? We can't dbl. We can't bid 5H. It's unfortunate that we have support for partner, but we can't bid over 4S. 5H would be a sacrifice against 4S, but we are not sure that 4S makes. And dbl would be ridiculous. helene_t
Pass. What is dbl supposed to show? That I have two defensive tricks? Sorry, partner saw my opening bid. I told my story. Unless dbl shows this specific hand, of course, that would be nice. Or maybe not. If partner decides to defend 4♠ undoubled it might be the par contract.
