Gerardo
It was said filled symbols differ slightly in size (diamond apart)I think outlined appears better in that respects, but it is not the same. The Symbol Font set shows like this:ª © ¨ §. All this depends on the browser you use, so report it too if possible. All sets but the Symbol one use the Unicode (extended set of characters)
Free
symbol is best, but a little bit larger would be apropriate

Gerardo
trpltrbl, I don't see those :) (browser thing I think.). But the idea of using text for those is to scale with surrounding text. If you change the font size, you are stuck with same size symbols (unless you insert another image) 2ª 2© 2¨ 2§ 2♠ 2♥ 2♦ 2♣ 2ª 2© 2¨ 2§ 2♠ 2♥ 2♦ 2♣ 2ª 2© 2¨ 2§ 2♠ 2♥ 2♦ 2♣ 2ª 2© 2¨ 2§ 2♠ 2♥ 2♦ 2♣ This is a hand crafted example, in second line symbols are 1.2 (which is the current standard step if I read specs correctly) greater than in the first. In third line, they are 1.4 greater than in first. In fourth, 1.7 greater than first. What do you think? It seems Symbol is smaller than the standard font at same defined size. Free
maybe put in the size tag to, make it standard size +0.2 or something, should be close to what we want i guess
Gerardo
Revamped how the symbols works, they are atomic symbols now. They are currently defined as same font, 120% of the size of the precedent text. That's of course modificable, but not so easy to show alternatives now. 1♣ 2♦ 3♥ 4♠ They work inside CODE too. Also, future modifications will affect symbols used from now on.

Oh, I probably didn't say so, but I think it is GREAT that the suit symbols are there (I can even live with the funny colours).
