pclayton
[hv=d=s&v=b&n=skjt9hak6dqj85ct3&s=s72hqj752d963ca72]133|200|Scoring: XIMP[/hv] You play in 3♥. LHO opened 1♠, pass , pass and you make a slightly dubious balance of 2♥, although as a passed hand, it minimizes the risk pard will go nuts. LHO competes with 3♣ and pard's 3♥ buys it. LHO leads the ♣K and RHO follows with the 8 (standard carding). What is the best line for 9 tricks? By the way, I wrapped this, but I'm not sure I took the best line of play. Fluffy
you cannot avoid a diamonds ruff, so forget that suit and hope they don't touch it yet. duck first club, next play a spade towards dummy inserting the jack.
