Clear pass. Even thinking is a gross overbid. From all sensible textbooks:

"Pass in second seat after 1x or 2y (weak two) does not deny an opening hand. It denies a hand that is suitable to come in at this point."

Nice to see almost everybody agreeing.

This was an authentic expert TM (or so i thought, it DID feature 3 or 4 stars). Both players intervened with 3 and both players went for -1100 with no slam making for opps, meaning a flat board (clubs split 3-3!!). At one table the opening was 2 mini multi but it's an even more clear-cut passing situation (or weak nt dbl) in my humble opinion. I was just a little B) when I saw the flatness of the board.

Over a natural 2 I have no strong opinion, maybe I'm leaning towards passing now that I see the reactions from others.

Over a multi, 3 is really weired. If double is systematic with a 13-count balanced you can do that, otherwise I have no misgivings about pass.

Bidding is not even a logical alternative for an expert.

Per what Helene said, the fact hands like this, which would otherwise have had to pass, get an easy way into the auction is one of the reasons I don't like playing multi. I know, it's me against the world.

I'm sorry it's not very possible. Defense cross-ruffed and got a fair number of top tricks also. I only kibbed this one so it's not saved :)

Of course it is. Pull up the myhands records for one of the players involved and then locate the board, assuming of course you remember at least one of the 8 players names. :)

OK so I found the board:

Double dummy it's -5 but defense can be messed up for -4.
