Darn i forgot about the poles. you're rite they should definitely be included. Who are they playing with/for this time.
keylime
The Poles definitely are going to be a force to be reckoned with - they have two of the best partnerships in the world and are fierce competitors. The Italians for some reason doesn't strike me as being in the top 4 this time out - there's been a lot of infighting lately with that particular camp and from what I've read it hasn't been pretty at all. Then there's the Nickell team, and as strong as I root for Jeff and Eric each time out, here too, I don't think they'll win. In the finals I'm expecting the Poles to play against an unknown team that will shoot through the knockout - that's my guess.

I know that Versace and Lauria are back playing with Angellini (i read that on italian web site) are you aware of something that is not in print? However they are still playing on the Italian National team with duboin, bocchi and ferraro and hopefully the split up wont impact their play at our nationals. keylime
From what I have gathered there has been some alleged acrimony in the Italian camp over the teams - granted this isn't 1st hand knowledge (and as you all know I deal in numbers and thus absolutes daily) but evidently things aren't exactly right. My sincerest wish: To see the Rosenkranz team in the finals if he enters into the competition. George is nearly 90 years old yet continues to play incredible bridge. He's a true testament to diligence and persistence.
