Guest Jlall
Hidden: Cash the DA and pitch a heart from dummy. cash the heart ace, cross back in trumps, ruff a heart, cross back in trumps, ruff a heart, and exit a small club. If RHO has stiff T/Q/K they will be endplayed.
Free
Hidden response to justin's line: isn't it better to play ♣A and ♣ (in the end obviously) in case someone has Hx, or LHO has singleton honour?

kenrexford
An alternative hidden idea: If the heart hook works, you could ditch a club from dummy on the second diamond, cash the club Ace in dummy, and then duck a heart into East, pitching a third club from dummy. East is then endplayed into giving you a fourth pitch in dummy of yet another club. This alternative line caters to West being: ♠x ♥Kx ♦K10xxx ♣KQ10xx♠0 ♥Kx ♦K10xxx ♣KQ10xxx and East being: ♠x ♥Jxxxxx ♦Jxxxx ♣x♠xx ♥Jxxxxx ♦Jxxxx ♣0 If East has a void in clubs, only this alternative works. If East has a club, it seems to be roughly 50-50 whether it is the 10 or higher. However, the vulnerable overcall of 2NT seems rather rich if the heart finesse fails and East has the King or Queen of clubs. This seems to reduce the odds of East having a critical club to 25% when the heart hook fails. I'm not sure of the psychology and math here, but the alternative line does have some appeal. Guest Jlall
Ken, I actually thought of your line, but I think with KQTxx the CK lead would be very attractive rather than a diamond from king empty. Also I would not take into consideration east being void in clubs since A)he didn't X and B)west didnt lead one from KQT9xx?

The obvious line seems to be as you mentioned, but the alternative line might be more strongly considered if there is some table feel guiding you. For instance, a long tank and fidget to your left on lead, or a hesitation during the bidding to your right.
